Metal Deck Accessories: Cell Closure / Pour Stop
Cell Closures, also known as Pour Stops, close off the open ends of the steel deck. Cell closures prevent concrete from spilling out the ends of the metal deck. Available with a 90-degree bend in 1.5” x 2” and made-to-order sizes. Also available with the additional 45-degree lip at the top. These 20 gauge galvanized cell closures conveniently make concrete pours quicker and cleaner. Side closures can be made to order to specified gauge and dimensions.
Metal Decking Accessories: Foam Closure Strip for roof deck
Roof deck outside foam closure strip seal the ridge cap to prevent the wind from driving precipitation into the structure. Another accessory Keystar carries for metal deck construction, foam closure strips add additional protection from moisture.
Additionally, the foam closure strips block vapor transmission and resist extreme temperatures. They do not dissolve, dry out, or shrink in extreme temperatures and UV conditions. Foam closure strips resist most chemicals and all moisture.
Use flexible, lightweight foam closures on the outside of roof deck panels for sound absorbing. By filling in the gaps where the metal roof deck meets the support wall, the foam closures provide an acoustic barrier from outside noise.
Another benefit of this metal deck accessory is the weather tight seal that prevents creatures, weather, and moisture from entering the structure through the corrugated panels.
